Three Ships #HerHustle Interview with REVOLVE Chief Brand Officer, Raissa Gerona

Three Ships #HerHustle Interview with REVOLVE Chief Brand Officer, Raissa Gerona - Three Ships
“It’s so easy to get caught up in trying to do everything and be everywhere. Remember to slow down, take a step back to reflect on your journey, and ignore the rest.” After meeting Raissa Gerona at Shoptalk back in March, we knew we had to have her on our #HerHustle series! Not only does she have amazing advice, she's also super sweet! Read her interview below.

What inspired you join REVOLVE as their Chief Brand Officer, and how has the company changed since then?
I started as one of the Co-Founders of Alliance Apparel and once we merged with REVOLVE in 2015 I officially became Chief Brand Officer. It has grown so much since then - before 2015 there wasn't really a Brand Marketing team so when I came on board as the CBO my focus was on building the team and increasing brand awareness through influencer marketing, experiential events, and partnerships.

and knew we had to have her on the blog!
What does your typical day look like?
It's not as glamorous as people may think - I'm usually in meetings for most of the day working on what's next for REVOLVE. Right now we have some exciting launches in the works that will be released within the next few months.

What was the worst piece of advice you’ve ever received?
You can make it to the "top" by yourself - it takes a really good team to get things done and it's important to have a lot of trust in people who are incredibly talented and smart to execute the vision. I'm lucky to have such an amazing team!

"Success means being able to spend time with the people I love, and doing a job that I absolutely love and enjoy."

In moments of self-doubt or adversity, how do you build yourself back up?
I remind myself that things will not always go your way and that mistakes are apart of the process - it's what allows me to learn and grow. I value those times as much as the really good successful moments that I have.

Do you have any morning routines or evening rituals to help you stay balanced?
Every morning before work I have a cup of coffee and focus on spending time with my daughter. It's something I really cherish and it gets me ready for the rest of the day. Every other morning I'll get a workout in before heading into work. In the evenings, I try not to be on my phone for at least and hour before going to bed.
